Refreshing lake breeze, the sun kissed sky, and a location brimming with beautiful Braga charm. Add to that the kindest couple with their loving family, and you’ve dreamed up the perfect Quinta Lago dos Cisnes wedding.
We’re thrilled to present Andreia and José from Switzerland. We met this sweet duo personally only a few weeks prior to the big day and, in our most cases, our email was sent via email or skype, but from the very first email they’d sent us we were super excited for their destination wedding in Portugal.
Andreia is a professional dancer and she met José during dance classes. They became inseparable and when you get to know them, you know why. While José is very calm, thoughtful and reserved, Andreia is energetic, smiley and always ready to talk soul.
Their personalities very much compliment one another and their wedding was full of simply that -explicable, uncontainable and contagious joy and love for one another and for their family and friends.
It was clear that both are very much loved by their friends and family, and despite having a long relationship with some of them (Andreia is Portuguese while Jose is Spanish) the presence and care of their loved ones is very present.
The day started in Quinta do Burgos, a lovely rural hotel that hosted the couple and their family and friends over the days. After the preparations the couple and their wedding party proceeded all to the one and only Quinta do Lago dos Cisnes. It was our second time to photograph a wedding in this gorgeous venue, and we somehow never fail to be surprised just how amazingly beautiful this location is.
So the exchange of vows occurred at the covered garden area with the gorgeous ivy canopy. The heartwarming ceremony was followed by some portrait taking, reception filled with laughs, hugs and happy getting together. As was expected from the great dancers, the dance floor was quickly taken over not only by the newly weds but also by their friends – some of them Andreia´s dance students. What a lovely art to photograph!
