These love birds chose to have their Engagement session in Lisbon, Bairro Alto and we had a real blast with them right from the very start of our photoshoot.
Meet Kristina and Luís- adorable couple who lives in the US but came to have their wedding in Portugal in just two days!!
Portugal is Luis´ home country so while he’s coming back to his roots, Kristine gets to live some of the lovely things this country has to offer, like Bacalhao à Brás – her favourite Portuguese dish- and mine too by the way (Maria here :))
We had our initial talk back in the Summer of last year and we loved the duo from the start- genuine,very friendly and with a fun personality!
They chose to have their engagement shoot in Lisbon center, and needless to say that the Portuguese capital is a dream background for any photoshoot.
We especially love photographing Lisbon in the Spring/ Summer time. Although the Sun can be very strong, we pick early hours to make the most of the gorgeous capital. Photographers have plenty of opportunities to enjoy this gorgeous city and couples can have beautiful keepsake photos.
We set a meeting point at the Jardim de São Pedro de Alcântara – to our lovely surprise, despite the early hour, the couple was there earlier than us :) The weather was a bit overcast, so although we didn’t have the effect of the sunrising light, the cloudiness made a glorious light all through the session.
Kristina is American but from her mother´s side she has Koren roots. While Luis is from the Alentejo area of Portugal. The couple met at a kickball game in Denver and that’s how their story began. They are such an in love couple that posing with lots of hugs and kisses and tickless comes naturally for them.
From the Jardim de São Pedro de Alcântara we went down Bairro alto, took some photos by the Elevador da Bica and ended at the Pink Street by Rua do Alecrim. We don´t know how that over hour had passed! And if it wasn´t for a slight tiredness from both couples, them and us, we would probably continue ha ha ha!
We are meeting the lovely couple again in just a few days for their wedding in Convento de São Paulo in Alentejo. We cannot wait!
