Oh how thrilled we are to be back on our blog with this stunning Areias do Seixo Wedding that we have had the honour to photograph earlier on in June. Sarah and John are a stunning couple from Austin, Texas and they chose Portugal as their wedding destination where family and friends could witness their “I Dos” and could enjoy the most of what our country has to offer. The wedding was very unique for us because Sarah and John entrusted us the privilege to be their wedding photographers without any prior Skype call. It is an additional joy and honour to know how trusted we´ve been and how much responsibility we bear to meet up to ou lovely couples´expectations.
There are so many things that we could say about this day…. about this couple… about their joy…. When you look at Sarah and John you just feel how much bond, friendship and deep love they have for one another. They have this very sweet and relaxed feel about them that makes everyone around just as relaxed and happy. All of the wedding guests were just as beautiful and joyous to be sharing such unique moments with the newlyweds!
The day started with John and his groomsmen having some chilling moments by the pool and also some play time -as guys do when they get together. Meanwhile, Sarah accompanied by her bridesmaids had her makeup and hair done at one of the main suits of Areias do Seixo. It was our first experience working at this stunning Portugues wedding venue and we were in absolute awe with how amazing the location is when you visit it in person (we only just saw the boutique hotel in pictures up till that day). We don´t think we have ever seen such a sophisticated mixture of modernism and rusticity where every detail of furniture and decor is so well placed. The scope for stunning pictures was just endless, which is the ultimate dream of any wedding photographer :)
The rays of setting Sun kissed the couple as they exchanged their heartfelt vows. What really touched our hearts about this event is the raw, Nature feel the bride and groom were able to pull off during any highlight of the day. And their guests really went along the whole day through. After some stunning portraits taking, reception dinner and cake cutting at the bone fire, the whole party proceeded to enjoy some dancing and drinks. A Venetian Masquerade gave the wedding party even more glamour and fun!
