Preeti and Alex´s Forte da Cruz Hindu wedding was as expected: lots of fun, colour, cheering and friendship! We are freshly “under the spell” of another Indian Wedding we had the honour to photograph, so going back to this one is a great reminder of how blessed Fábio and I are to witness and photograph such fun and colourful events and meet people for different parts of the Globe.
The couple´s celebration started actually the previous day, at a Vila Galé Hotel where they had a guest reception evening. It was a perfect opportunity to catch up with everyone before the big wedding day and a good way for us to get to know the couple too. The same hotel was a venue for Alex´s preparation location, while Preeti had her hair and makeup done in one of the upstairs Forte da Cruz rooms. And a word on the venue… Forte da Cruz is one of the finest wedding venues in and around Lisbon. We love how it´s set right by the ocean and has different indoor locations making it an idyllic, almost fairy-tale setting for a dream wedding. You might still remember our latest wedding day in this stunning Estoril Fortress. Every time we go back to this venue we are in awe how much scope it has for photographer´s work.
And while Preeti and Alex´s wedding was a visual dream, it was also so heartfelt and endearing.As we listened to the speeches we learned how hard-working yet dedicated the duo is to each other and to others and how gathering their most loved ones and making sure everyone was happy was their main priority for their wedding.
This was such a beautiful day. The weather, the couple, the celebration… it was perfect and we were so honoured to be a part of it. Thank you Preeti and Alex for your trust and kindness! Wishing you many years of happiness!
